Catalent Experts to Co-Host Workshops on Supply Chain Management at Upcoming Global Clinical Supplies Group Conference

SOMERSET, N.J. – April 13, 2023 — Catalent, the leader in enabling the development and supply of better treatments for patients worldwide, today announced that two of its clinical supply experts are to co-host workshop sessions at the upcoming Global Clinical Supplies Group (GCSG) Conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel, Orlando, Florida, on April 23 – 26, 2023.p>

The first workshop, entitled “Autologous Supply Chains,” will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at 11:15 a.m. EDT, and will look at strategies to consider when setting up a patient-centric supply chain for autologous cell therapies, and how to identify resources early in the process that can support chain of identity and chain of custody. Hosting the session will be Trish Demko, Catalent’s Director of Case Management Services, alongside Beth Gardner, Senior Director of Patient Supply at Beam Therapeutics.

Additionally, Amber Brown, Catalent’s Director of Transportation Services, will be co-hosting a workshop, entitled “VAT Regulation and Rebate Options for Clinical Materials” with Melissa Brod from VAT IT. The session will look at ways for clinical trial sponsors to maximize the ability to reclaim value added tax, and will run twice at the conference: on Monday, April 24 at 11:30 a.m. EDT; and again on Tuesday, April 25 at 11:15 a.m. EDT.

In her role at Catalent, Ms. Demko oversees the company’s Case Management Services, launched in January 2023 to address the unique challenges associated with the safe and timely delivery of advanced therapies to patients by providing professional supply chain oversight from program start to finish. She has over 15 years of experience in case management, facilitating bone marrow and stem cell transplant coordination across a global network, overseeing team productivity, quality, and maintaining excellence in customer service. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Business Administration degree from Augsburg University, Minneapolis, as well as having Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Mrs. Brown is responsible for Catalent’s Global Transportation Services, where she supervises courier and shipment management, strategic ‘lean’ value chain optimization, and oversees the economics of the company’s global network against key performance targets. Her experience spans two decades of successfully managing global supply chains across a range of industries, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and supply chain from Fort Hays State University, Kansas.
